Radio2Work
Workforce representation for various groups in Brighton and Hove is below local population statistics. Equal Brighton and Hove was a city-wide initiative which was set up to try and make an impact upon this.
Radio2Work was one of 25 projects being delivered as part of Equal Brighton and Hove with funding from the European Social Fund.
Earshot's Radio2Work project had a number of elements:
1. Delivery of training courses which improve the employability of people from our target groups
2. Implementation of a work placement scheme for people from our target groups.
3. Production of weekly 'Job Spots' and a monthly 'Job Watch' career show for broadcast on RadioReverb.
4. Promotion of Equal Brighton and Hove's aims and objectives amongst local employers.
5. Sustainability and mainstreaming.
Earshot's particular target groups included:
- Over 50s
- Black and Minority Ethnic
- Transgendered
- Lesbian, Bi-sexual, Gay
